Solutions Architect within Network Rail IM department, having responsibility and accountability to lead and shape programmes and project solutions delivered by internal resources or external supplier inline to the IM Strategic Vision. In addition Solution Architect needs to understand the wider strategic direction and current business priorities and objectives across Network Rail. This is often undertaken in virtual teams across multiple departments and companies, requiring the Solution architect to influence the direction, whilst not always having direct control over the resources involved. The Solution Architect acts as the interface into the IM Programme Design Authorities as part of the Service Development Lifecycle and providing technical input and direction.
