I have been developing software since 1972, professionally since 1980. I am now retired.

My formal education concluded with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Engineering at Manchester University in 1983.

I am located in Liverpool and taking a great interest in the local electrification project currently under way.

My Open Rail software is open source and can be found at https://github.com/philwieland/openrail
