Very losely based on Wikipedia's, but since we've not got parsing extensions, there's only one parameter: date.
| date     = {{{date|}}}

| cat      = {{main other|[[Category:All articles with dead external links]]}}
Remove a dead link tag if you find a correct new URL for a link, or if you're substituting with an archived (preferably on-wiki vs internet archive – you can upload files here if necessary) version.
| cat-date = Category:Articles with dead external links

| cat2    = {{main other|{{#if:{{{fix-attempted|}}}|[[Category:Articles with permanently dead external links]]}}}}
Use in wikitext like so:
}}<!--{{Dead link}} end-->
<nowiki>{{Dead link|date=2023-05-06}}</nowiki>
}}<noinclude>

{{Documentation}}
<span style="white-space: nowrap;">&#91;<i><span>[[Template:Dead link|dead link]] as of 2023-05-06</span></i>&#93;</span>

Very losely based on Wikipedia's, but since we've not got parsing extensions, there's only one parameter: date.

Remove a dead link tag if you find a correct new URL for a link, or if you're substituting with an archived (preferably on-wiki vs internet archive – you can upload files here if necessary) version.

Use in wikitext like so: {{Dead link|date=2023-05-06}}
