Activity codes are listed in CIF, JSON and Darwin timetable files.

Activity	Description
-D	Stops here to detach vehicles
-T	Stops here to attach and detach vehicles
-U	Stops here to attach vehicles
A	Stops or shunts for other trains to pass
AE	An assisting locomotive is attached or detached
BL	Stops here for a banking locomotive to be attached
C	Crew change
D	Sets down passengers only (departure not advertised to the public)
E	Train is examined
K	Passenger count point
KC	Ticket collection/examination point
KE	Ticket examination point
KF	Ticket examination point in 1st Class only
KS	Optional ticket examination point
L	Change of locomotive
N	Stop not advertised to the public
OP	Operational stop
OR	Locomotive is at the rear of the train
PR	Propelling between these points
R	Stops on request
RM	Stops to reverse or the driver to change ends
RR	Locomotive runs around the train
S	Stops for railway staff only
T	Stops to pick up and set down passengers
TB	Train starts here (begins)
TF	Train terminates here (finishes)
TS	TOPS reporting required
TW	Stops to exchange single-line token or staff
U	Stops to pick up passengers only (arrival not advertised to the public)
W	Stops for coaches to be watered (heritage stock)
X	Train passes another train on a single line
